Taina Mäki-Ison ”Kohti horisonttia” Hurjaruuthissa 10. ja 11.12

Maailma muuttuu, Marttaseni! saa Taina Mäki-Ison esittämä Martta-neito huolekseen todeta tanssiteatteri Hurjaruuthiin joulukuussa tulevassa Kohti horisonttia -esityksessä, kun hän saa toimestaan potkut ja joutuu miettimään, miten järjestää uudelleen elämänsä. Mutta ei hätää, horisontti on jo näkyvissä!

A Growing Library… With a Little Help from our Friends

Last week Villa Karo’s library received a fine donation from the University of Helsinki. This gift was passed to us through the helping hands of art historian Julia Donner who visited Villa Karo a month ago. Many, many thanks to Julia and the University of Helsinki! Now the books are waiting for eager couriers to carry them to Benin in their suitcases. I’m sure they’ll reach their destination in no time.

A Sound Mind in a Sound Body?”

According to a well-known proverb, a sound mind resides in a sound body. Then, we could say, the mental well-being of the scholarship holders has been taken care of by the very skilled (but not always so very tender) hands of the masseur, MR Medard Bokodaho who has been offering his services in Grand-Popo.
